Catching up

I'm not a huge fan of Halloween, but try to play along. These first pictures are from the Halloween festivities.
Sarah in her pumpkin outfit from the Vervloets.

A sleepy ladybug with Uncle Shane.
Sarah after her nap with Shane. I left off the antennae because they made impressions in her head. Thanks anyway Malinda.
The motley crew! Well, except for Jesus!
We went to Idaho to watch Kevin's niece in the state soccer tournament. We didn't see very much and couldn't see very well because we stayed in the truck since it was really cold and rainy. We did get to visit Pat and Kristi though. Brian even came up for the games. On the way home, we stopped by Kevin's cousin's house and his Aunt Verna happened to be there. This is a great picture of the closest we'll get to 3 generations on Kevin's side. It's amazing how much she looks like Ethel.
We started the baby food. She's usually a good eater, especially with sweet potatoes, but some days her tongue just gets in the way. This was one of the first times where she was getting used to getting food from a spoon rather than a bottle.
Kristi came down and helped get some things done at the old house. This picture was after a long day for both of them. Sarah loves her Aunt Kristi and smiles when I talk about her.
Our little inch worm.
Kevin called her his little speed bump. Him and Taylor were trying to get her to roll down the ramp.
Sarah's been sick the last few days. It started with just a stuffy nose and yesterday she started a croupy cough. She's such a happy baby that she sometimes forgets she doesn't feel good and just starts smiling. We're hoping she's back to her old self soon. We're definitely the typical first time parents with this. It's very hard to watch her be miserable and we can only do so much. We'll just keep praying for her to get better.

And in closing...Parent Teacher Conferences are OVER for the term!! I had about 8 parents tell me how much they appreciate all the work I do and how much their child loves coming to school. It's a nice change from the usual complaints about me having too many expectations and following through with consequences.

My kids are all very concerned about Sarah's health now. Hopefully she feels better soon. Love all the pics . . . especially the sweet potato face.
